Encaustic In this encaustic series, I am exploring the relation between emotion and communication. I wanted to look at the internal push and pull that happens internally. I used color and line to suggest these struggles. The cloudy compositions propose a sense of doubt or insecurity that I feel when I want to say something important. The lines sort of represent a cohesive thought within a flood of emotions. Although, I started by wanting these pieces to be more of two parts of a whole, I found they are much stronger if I let them stand alone. They can be read as diptychs and separate pieces
